The main theme of the conference is “Investing inHealthcare: The cornerstone of sustainable human development.” The conference is attended by an elite group of global leaders, policymakers, international experts, and innovation pioneers. The conference is a fruitful opportunity to discuss challenges and opportunities in the areas of comprehensive health, population dynamics, migration, health tourism, youth empowerment, education, artificial intelligence, and the care economy. health; This is to develop sustainable policies that promote human dignity, equality and comprehensive development, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of Egypt’s Vision 2030.

Within the framework of Egypt’s comprehensive vision to achieve sustainable development that places people at the heart of public policies, the third edition of the conference presented a set of integrated themes, including global health issues by strengthening the interconnection of health with education, housing and the economy, by adopting fair policies aimed at improving the quality of life for all, and comprehensive health coverage by developing health care systems to ensure good services that enjoy low costs, by improving financing, governance, and the health workforce.

“A new beginning for building humanity”

Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly confirmed that the public health file occupies the highest priority in the Egyptian state’s strategy for human development, and that His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, is very interested in the human development file, building people and achieving Egypt’s vision for sustainable development 2030, while working to exploit all the capabilities available to the state and maximize their benefit and integration and cooperation with various ministries and stakeholders.

The presidential initiative “A New Beginning for Human Building” was launched, which is a pioneering model and unified plan that combines health, education, and social protection. To empower citizens and improve their quality of life.

The Prime Minister also touched on the notable achievements in the field of health over the past years, such as the “100 Million Health” initiative, which provided comprehensive health services to more than 95% of the population, and also reduced infant mortality rates by 30%, in addition to the National Population and Development Strategy 2023-2030, which works to strike a balance between positive population characteristics and enhancing quality of life, with a focus on empowering youth – who represent 60% of the Egyptian people – through digital skills. And lifelong education.

The “Decent Life” initiative to achieve human development

Dr. Mostafa Madbouly highlighted the role of the “Decent Life” project in achieving human development by developing the villages of the Egyptian countryside by integrating the health, education and social protection sectors to achieve health and social justice, ensuring the expansion of the provision of comprehensive health services, and integrating the social determinants of health into public policies, while giving priority to protecting the most needy groups.

Partnerships and Joint Investments

Based on Egypt’s belief that it is a civilizational bridge between continents, the Prime Minister stressed Egypt’s keenness to establish partnerships and joint investments in the field of human development, financing health care for developing countries, and building a healthy economy that generates sustainable job opportunities, stressing that health is not just a basic right, but rather an essential pillar for economic and social progress.

The Prime Minister expressed his optimism that the conference will come up with practical recommendations that contribute to building a healthier and more just world, stressing that Egypt always opens its doors to international cooperation to achieve sustainable development for future generations.

It is worth noting that the conference witnesses important dialogue sessions on investing in healthcare as an engine for development, with a review of successful international experiences, and a discussion of how to integrate artificial intelligence into preventive care, and enhance learning and digital skills to ensure equality in education and work opportunities. It also includes the “Smart Digital Health Gate” exhibition to showcase the digital transformation in healthcare in Egypt, with medical teams given 24 approved training hours (CPD / CME) after attending the sessions.
