Human Rights First

One of the most prominent of these efforts was what Dr. Maya Morsi witnessed at the launch ceremony of the fourth report on the implementation of the National Human Rights Strategy, entitled “From Vision to Implementation… A reading of the fourth report of the National Human Rights Strategy”, where the Minister of Social Solidarity indicated that this day represents an important station on the path to national commitment.

The Minister confirmed that the National Human Rights Strategy is a comprehensive framework that transforms constitutional and legislative principles into concrete action plans, with a focus on providing social protection and economic empowerment for deserving groups, such as women, children, persons with disabilities, and the elderly.

The Minister also praised the “Decent Life” initiative to improve the quality of life of families in the villages most in need, providing adequate housing, infrastructure and basic services, issuing integrated services cards for people with disabilities (1.3 million cards), in addition to adopting the Elderly Rights Care Law, as well as establishing the first national sponsorship center to organize alternative care.

The Minister of Social Solidarity concluded her speech by emphasizing the directives of His Excellency the President of the Republic to launch the second phase of the National Human Rights Strategy, considering that this approach consolidates the continued commitment to human rights, social justice and dignity for every citizen, male and female, and thanked all partners for cooperating to achieve the state’s vision in building humanity.

The Fourth Edition of the Conference CEO Women

Dr. Maya Morsi, “Minister of Social Solidarity,” also witnessed the launch of the fourth edition of the “CEO Women” conference, under the patronage of Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, “Prime Minister.” The Minister opened her speech by greeting those present, stressing that women leaders are not just a number, but rather pioneers of change who carry a solid will and an enlightened mind, and that their presence at the head of institutions is a testimony to a long struggle and proof that true leadership does not know Sexually.

The Minister of Social Solidarity opened the round table for the “Capable with Difference” Fund under the title “Strengthening Institutional Capacities to Serve Persons with Disabilities,” where she stressed that the establishment of the Fund reflects the President of the Republic’s keenness to guarantee the rights of people with disabilities, noting its multiple tasks that include supporting financial inclusion, training and employment, and encouraging the financing of economic projects.

University students and community work

The Minister also attended a workshop on involving university students in community service activities, stressing that social care includes dignity, opportunities and empowerment. There, Dr. Maya Morsi reviewed the government’s efforts in social protection, including the “Solidarity and Dignity” program and the “Decent Life” initiative, and the ministry’s efforts to invest in human capital through solidarity units in universities.

Visit of the Qatari Minister of State

In another context, Dr. Maya Morsi, “Minister of Social Solidarity,” received Dr. Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al-Misnad, “Minister of State for International Cooperation in the State of Qatar” and her accompanying delegation. Also, Dr. Maya Morsi participated in the celebration of the centenary of the Rose Al-Youssef Foundation, expressing her pride in the institution that formed part of the nation’s memory. There, she confirmed that what increases her happiness is that it was founded by the pioneering lady Fatima Al-Youssef, who is the first woman to establish a publishing house and newspaper in the Arab world, noting that the celebration of her centenary and the fact that a woman is currently chairing its board of directors indicates the extension of Rose Al-Youssef’s legacy and her empowerment of women, generation after generation.
