It is a conference organized by the Faculty of Early Childhood Education at Cairo University, under the generous patronage of Dr. Mohamed Sami Abdel Sadiq, “President of Cairo University,” and in a high-level presence represented by Dr. Mahmoud Al-Saeed, “Vice President of Cairo University for Postgraduate Affairs,” Dr. Ahmed Ragab, “Vice President of Cairo University for Education and Student Affairs,” and Dr. Ghada Abdel Bari. “Vice President of Cairo University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs,” and Dr. Jihan Azzam, “Dean of the Faculty of Early Childhood Education.”
This came in the presence of Dr. Mohamed Ziadeh “Chairman of the Board of Trustees of theThe Earth Guards Foundation”, and Dr. Reham Farouk “Secretary General of the Foundation”, as well as in the presence of the heads of departments of the College of Early Childhood Education, a group of male and female researchers, and a number of people interested in issues of enhancing education – especially education for people with special needs – under Reality developments in the field of artificial intelligence.
First word
The first speech – after saluting the Egyptian flag – was given by Dr. Jihan Azzam, “Dean of the College”, in which she welcomed the attendees, before stressing the extent of Cairo University’s keenness to study and research everything related to future technologies in a responsible and ethical manner, and in accordance with international standards; In order to provide a decent and prosperous life for us and for future generations.
Hence came the speech of Dr. Mahmoud Al-Saeed, “Vice President of Cairo University for Graduate Studies,” who saw that the college’s role is influential in achieving sustainable development efforts, and closely intersects with its seventeen goals and issues that affect aspects of life.
Dr. Mahmoud Al-Saeed also saw that the message that the College of Early Childhood Education is disseminating among researchers is consistent with the axes of “Egypt Vision 2030,” starting with the development of the Egyptian human being, and ending with governance and partnerships between civil society institutions and the public and private sectors.
It is no secret that these words are closely interconnected with the goals of theThe Earth Guards Foundationand its continuous support for all efforts made to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), by targeting all segments of society, and establishing partnerships to achieve these goals, which is the premise on which the Foundation’s sponsorship of the conference was based; The Thirteenth Scientific Conference, Sixth International, under the title: “Visions and future prospects in the education and rehabilitation of children with special needs in light of artificial intelligence applications.”
Conference Topics
As for the conference’s themes, they were mainly based on considering the importance of scientific endeavors to explore the ideal image of artificial intelligence, and clarifying its role in strengthening the educational system related to people with special needs and others, based on it being the way of the future and a sustainable path towards strengthening the role of universities and scientific research in developing the field of rehabilitation of children with special needs. In the hope of preparing for the new future, and with a desire to support the path of science and scientists, which is the door of every civilization; Education, health and economics.
Accordingly, the visions of the researchers and participants revolved around, as the research presented to the conference came based on the fact that such good endeavors require concerted efforts among members of society, through constructive integration between the scientific research sector and various institutions. In order to support the field of education for children with special needs, and to qualify them according to the developments of the modern era based on digital technology, represented by artificial intelligence applications.
These axes aimed – in one way or another – to enhance the role of digital technology in developing the educational process, and also its role in achieving the integration of children with special needs into society, which was reflected in the conference’s recommendations and decisions, which were that artificial intelligence has the most prominent role in the future of people with special needs, with the proposal of applied research programs that use artificial intelligence techniques to help develop the skills of children with special needs, and to take into account the mechanisms for its use in this field and other fields such as health and nutrition.
