Media professionals – of whom I am honored to be one – may have a large share of a comprehensive and clear vision of the political and development scene. This gives the opportunity to determine the extent of progress and development in many files, whether this progress and development is subtle or great. Fortunately, we live in an era that witnesses great development leaps and clear development in many files. This makes it easier for us to point out areas of praise and appreciation, or point out areas of shortcomings and weaknesses. Perhaps the health file in my beloved country is one of these files, which we must pay attention to.

Health is certainly at the forefront ofSustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The third goal “Good health and well-being” is the basis for achieving the sustainable growth that we aspire to; A nation with good health is capable of building prosperous societies and strong economies, and good health is a basic condition for enabling individuals to participate effectively in all areas of life, from education, through work, to creativity.

No rational person can deny the unprecedented achievements that the health sector has witnessed since President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi took over the leadership of Egypt, between projects to improve the health infrastructure, and carefully launched initiatives to confront the most prominent problems facing the health file.

Despite the difficult circumstances the world went through during the Corona pandemic, Egypt was able to get through this crisis thanks to the awareness and perception of its political leadership, and the effort and sacrifice of its people who work in the health sector. Let our beloved Egypt demonstrate the progress and strength of its health sector.

As we know, the health file is as diverse as it is, including infrastructure, pharmaceutical industries, and medical teams. In addition, Egypt is suffering from a steady and irresponsible population increase. All of this may be enough to discourage people and hide any effort being made, but that did not prevent the sincere national will of Mr. President to intensify efforts to develop the health sector and work to overcome the difficulties facing citizens at all stages of receiving service.

100 million health insurance, comprehensive health insurance, model hospitals, ending waiting lists, and many others; All of them are bright spots in Egypt’s health file in the past ten years, as they were able to bring reassurance and peace to millions of Egyptian people.

I am fully aware of the magnitude of the challenge that Egypt faces to improve the health of the health file, but at the same time I am completely certain that the full awareness and comprehensive understanding of Mr. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi will be the best help in confronting this challenge that has remained stubborn for many decades.

In this article, I should not forget the great responsibility that falls on me and my fellow media professionals and journalists in spreading awareness of everything that enhances public health, and highlighting the great achievements in the health file, as well as pointing out the shortcomings and weaknesses in this vital sector, and how we can work to improve them.

In conclusion, it must be emphasized that health is not just a goal, but rather an important means of achieving sustainable development in all fields. That is why governments, international communities and the private sector must work together to ensure everyone has access to high-quality health care services. Which contributes to building a better future for everyone.
