Supporting public health by enhancing the competencies of healthcare authority staff

HealthPublic health is the basis of the prosperity and renaissance of nations, and the axis of human development from which all construction and modernization efforts begin. From this deep awareness of the importance ofpublic health, the General Authority for Health Care continues its efforts – under the leadership of Dr. Ahmed Al-Sabki – to build a modern health system based on efficiency and innovation.

This is through launching a specialized training program for middle leaders, as part of its comprehensive sustainable strategy to develop human resources and raise the level of institutional performance in the health sector, emphasizing the role of the medical staff in achieving the desired health transformation, in cooperation with the National Training Academy.

From this standpoint,The Earth Guards Foundationin this article sheds light on this training initiative, explaining how it contributes to developing national cadres and enhancing institutional sustainability, in line withSustainable Development Goals (SDGs)and the “Egypt Vision” 2030.”

Public health support program

In this context, Dr. Ahmed Al-Sabki, “President of the General Authority for Health Care,” opened the activities of the training program directed to middle leaders within the competencies of the Health Care Authority’s cadres, in the presence of Dr. Sulafa Juwaili, “Executive Director of the National Training Academy,” and Dr. Taher Nasr, “Deputy Executive Director of the Academy.”

There, Dr. Ahmed Al-Sabki confirmed that this program is not limited to transferring knowledge only, but rather aims to build national leaders capable of making effective decisions that contribute to developing the health work environment, and applying international standards within the facilities of the General Authority for Health Care, in a way that supports the public health system, and in a way that also enhances the efficiency of health services provided to all citizens in various parts of the Republic.

For her part, Dr. Sulafa Gouili, “Executive Director of the National Training Academy,” emphasized that investing in human capital is one of the pillars of achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), noting that the Academy harnesses  all its capabilities and all its experience to build qualified cadres capable of leading the new Egyptian health system efficiently and professionally.

International partnerships and training curriculum development

Dr. Ahmed Al-Sabki, “President of the General Authority for Health Care,” also explained ways to coordinate partnerships with leading international institutions in the medical field, such asInternational Hospital Federation (IHF), andAmerican College of Executives Executives (American College of  Executives); This is in order to enhance the exchange of experiences and develop training curricula. There, Dr. Ahmed Al-Sabki, “President of the General Authority for Health Care,” confirmed that these international partnerships contribute – in one way or another – to aligning training programs with global standards for the public health sector, and achieve a positive impact at the regional and international levels. This enhances Egypt’s leadership in developing health systems, based on the axes of the national agenda “Egypt Vision 2030”.

Raising the efficiency of middle leaders

Also, Dr. Ahmed Al-Sabki, “President of the Public Authority for Health Care,” stressed the importance of preparing young cadres, qualifying them, and providing them with the necessary leadership and administrative skills. Pointing out the great roleof efforts to measure the impact of training programs, and working to prepare a new generation of national leaders capable of completing the process of institutional development and achieving sustainability in the health care sector.

Also, Dr. Ahmed Al-Sabki, “President of the General Authority for Health Care,” indicated his pride in the cadres trained through the training programs, describing them as armed with knowledge, experience, and the ability to lead, and capable of transferring this experience to their subordinates to enhance administrative thought and achieve institutional efficiency, especially in the public health sector.

Therefore,The Earth Guards Foundationsees that these initiatives represent more than just training programs, they are a practical embodiment of a new philosophy adopted byThe General Authority for Health Care led by Dr. Ahmed Al-Sabki; It is a philosophy based on the fact that investing in people is the most important pillar of the sustainability of the health system. Because empowering middle leaders and providing them with administrative skills is not only a support for the level of institutional performance, but rather a long-term investment in the structure of national health institutions, ensuring the system’s ability to keep pace with global transformations in health care management.

From an analytical perspective, these steps represent a conscious bet on buildinghealthy human capitalcapable of transforming policies into realistic practices that contribute to achieving health justice and establishing a culture of social responsibility within state institutions. Experience also confirms that developing the authority’s cadres does not only improve the quality of health services, but also contributes to establishing an integrated national model for health care, a model based on efficiency, sustainability, and good governance.

TherebyThe General Authority for Health Care embodies the model of the new republic that balances developing the institutional structure and enhancing the health awareness of the citizen. Health becomes an essential axis in achieving comprehensive sustainable development and a pillar on the path to “Egypt Vision 2030.”
