The efforts of the Ministry of Social Solidarity in achieving sustainable human development

In recent years, the Egyptian state has been moving towards achieving human development by building a system ofsocial protection on more comprehensive and precise foundations, and by investing in people from their first years of life, developing databases, modernizing work mechanisms, and expanding the scope of international partnerships to supportgroups most cared for.

The efforts of the Ministry of Social Solidarity – led by Dr. Maya Morsi – are at the heart of this path, as it is the body responsible for formulating and implementing protection programs, ensuring the achievement of social justice, promoting sustainable human development, and linking social welfare policies to economic development within the framework of “Egypt Vision 2030.”

In this context, the Ministry is moving towards building an integrated system based on updated data, quality services, early childhood support, women’s empowerment, developing social safety networks, and cooperation with international institutions. This is whatThe Earth Guards sheds light on in the following lines; So keep reading.

Database development

One of the most recent efforts achieved by Dr. Maya Morsi in the Ministry of Social Solidarity was the meeting between her and Dr. Fadia Saadeh, “Regional Director for Human Development at the World Bank.” In order to discuss prospects for cooperation in the areas of social protection.

During the meeting, Dr. Maya Morsi, “Minister of Social Solidarity,” provided an extensive explanation of the ongoing development efforts in databases, such as the efforts to develop the “Solidarity and Dignity” program, which allows for continuous updating of the conditions of beneficiary families, and in a way that achieves tangible progress in the field of improving the quality of targeting.

National inventory of nurseries

The Minister of Social Solidarity also announced earlier this week the results of the comprehensive national inventory of nurseries in Egypt, in the largest survey in the country’s history of this vital sector, which extended for more than 118 days. This inventory represents an important turning point in understanding the reality of early childhood, and a national data map on which comprehensive policies can be built to achieve care and education in the first years of a child’s life.

Expansion of early childhood services

In the same context, the Minister reviewed the ongoing efforts to develop the nursery system, including finalizing the organizing regulations and opening new nurseries in the Administrative Capital, including centers designated for the children of female workers in the ministries. In support of empowering working women.

The Ministry also launched a “temporary licensing” mechanism for unlicensed nurseries. In order to facilitate their integration into the official system, and guide their owners towards meeting the required standards. Expansion of social protection

After her visit toLuxor City – within the field tours – Dr. Maya Morsi, “Minister of Social Solidarity,” began her visit to Fayoum Governorate by meeting with the governor; In order to discuss the expansion of social protection services, support youth, women, the elderly, and people with disabilities, and discuss opportunities for developing craft fairs and service projects that benefit citizens.

التوسع في الحماية الاجتماعية

These simultaneous movements reveal an integrated vision that enhances the role of human development. From building accurate databases, to developing the early childhood sector, expanding care services, supporting cadres, and strengthening international partnerships – the Ministry of Solidarity is working to establish a justice-based development model based on long-term institutional work.

If we establish a link between these field movements and major development programs, it appears to us that the Ministry of Social Solidarity – led by Dr. Maya Morsi – is an institutional actor that balances responding to urgent humanitarian needs and building the elements of social justice in the long term, through policies consistent with “Egypt Vision 2030.”

From this standpoint,The Earth Guards Foundation believes that this integrated approach enhances the state’s ability to protect citizens from the dangers of poverty and marginalization, places people at the heart of the development process, and establishes a new phase based on human development.
