Award Objectives & Strategic Value

In light of the accelerating social, economic, and environmental challenges facing the world today, sustainability has emerged as a cornerstone of 21st-century development. Integrating these social, economic, and environmental dimensions is essential to achieving balanced growth that preserves natural resources and secures the well-being of future generations.

Driven by this vision, the Earth Guards Foundation, in collaboration with Cairo University, launches the "Earth Guards Scientific Research Award." This initiative aims to support and encourage outstanding scientific output that offers innovative, sustainable solutions to developmental challenges, thereby amplifying the role of academic research in transitioning toward a sustainable world.

The award seeks to honor research papers that deliver impactful academic and applied contributions across various fields of sustainability. By bridging the gap between academic knowledge and public policy-making, the award actively supports national and institutional efforts to realize sustainable development visions.

Furthermore, the award aims to establish a national knowledge platform that aggregates practices and research insights capable of supporting decision-makers and developing policies across all sustainable development sectors, thereby contributing to a real transition toward a decent life, a resilient economy, and a clean environment.
