Assessment Framework

Approved Methodology for Corporate Performance Assessment

The table attached in the technical annexes provides a methodological framework that links the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to the proposed practices and indicators used to assess private sector performance, while specifying the reference framework for each criterion. This framework aims to transform sustainability principles into actionable, measurable corporate practices across various sectors, supporting the integration of social, economic, and environmental dimensions into core operations.

Corporate Sustainability Assessment Framework (CSAF)

This methodology is applied within an integrated assessment ecosystem known as the Corporate Sustainability Assessment Framework (CSAF). This classification is designed to ensure fair assessment, inspire continuous improvement, and foster positive competition among institutions. The framework consists of four core components:

SDG Number

Identifies the specific UN Sustainable Development Goal that the company supports through sustainable practices aligned with social, economic, and environmental dimensions.

Assessment Indicator / Practice

Represents the measurable practice, action, or indicator within the organization. This is assessed across three implementation levels that reflect the company's commitment and the maturity of its sustainability practices.

Reference

Specifies the regulatory, professional, or legislative reference linked to the criterion, whether it is an international standard, national legislation, or a specialized regulatory framework.

Added Value

Reflects the corporate impact or benefit resulting from implementing the criterion, whether in terms of operational efficiency, compliance, corporate reputation, or enhancing long-term competitiveness and sustainability.

Performance Assessment Levels

The framework relies on a tiered assessment principle to reflect the varying degrees of readiness and implementation across organizations. This is structured into three primary levels:

Level 1

Minimum Compliance

Level 2

Operational Implementation

Level 3

Institutional Excellence & Impact

The technical annexes outline the proposed practices for the objectives across all three levels.

Assessment Methodology

The Assessment Methodology is based on a total scoring system of (100 points). The implementation levels reflect the organization's degree of commitment to the assessed practices, as well as its maturity in integrating these practices into its operational systems—moving from basic application to advanced practices.

The assessment relies on three primary levels:

  • The Basic Level (Minimum Compliance).
  • The Applied Level (Operational Implementation).
  • The Excellence Level (Institutional Excellence & Impact).

Fulfilling the minimum requirements of the Basic Level is a mandatory prerequisite for an organization to proceed to the scoring of the Applied and Excellence levels.

First: Assessment Structure

The Assessment splits the total points across the different performance levels within the model.

Second. Weight Distribution

The total assessment score (100 points) is distributed across the different performance levels using relative weights that reflect the specific value of each level within the methodology.

Scoring Calculation

The final score is calculated based on the total points achieved in each level, according to the organization’s degree of commitment to the specific practices and indicators defined for each element.

Forth. Assessment Sources

The assessment relies on a comprehensive set of inputs, including:

  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Supporting Evidence & Documentation
  • Corporate Operational Practices
