In this context, empowering women occupies a pivotal position in the vision of Minister Dr. Maya Morsi, as it is one of the essential keys to achieving comprehensive and sustainable development built on the foundations of social justice, equality, and human capital development, and this trend has been clearly reflected in her continued support for the system of women social pioneers.

The Minister recently chaired the meeting of the permanent committee to supervise this system, in the presence of 27 leaders from various governorates of the Republic. The meeting formed a platform for real dialogue to appreciate the role of women in community work, and to advance the wheel of change from within local communities. The Minister stressed the need to empower women pioneers economically, pointing to the Ministry’s plan to market micro-credit projects through women pioneers, and provide a social insurance umbrella that guarantees them stability.
