It is an international day that the peoples of the world use to support strategies for empowering women everywhere, which makes it one of the steps to strengthen their rights – socially, economically and culturally – to ensure the implementation of the aspirations and hopes of all parts of society.

This year – 2024 – is the second year in a row, in which the Earth Guards participate in the celebration of International Women’s Day, by highlighting the achievements of prominent Egyptian and Arab women and pioneers – scientifically and practically – in their fields; Therefore, in the coming days, the magazine will accompany you through a journey – a series of articles on International Women’s Day – expressing honorable feminist models whose professional career has shone in the skies of Egypt and the Arab world, and this is through achievements that have inspired women of the whole world. So that empowering them will be a just way of life and a form of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

As for the heroine of this article, she is Dr. Ghada Labib, “DeputyMinister of Communicationsand Information Technology for Institutional Development,” who combined engineering, law, and administration; To become a pioneer and honorable model in business development and customer management, until her career spanned 20 years with leadership experience and skills in major project management.

Dr. Ghada Labib began her career by obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering, then a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Cairo University. She also obtained a Public Policy Diploma from the French National School of Administration (ENA), a Leadership Skills Diploma from Harvard University, and a Governance and Public Administration Diploma from the National Service College in Singapore.

The efforts of Dr. Ghada Labib have resulted in a number of achievements at the level of the governmental and private sectors. Therefore, she deserved to be honored and won a number of awards, including – for example – the Arab Women’s Award for Social Responsibility in the field of digital transformation and inclusion. She was also chosen among the list of the 50 most inspiring and influential women in Egypt 2020, and she was also chosen among the “Mujae” list of the 15 most inspiring African women leaders in the field of management and leadership.

All of these awards and others were due to the efforts made by Dr. Ghada Labib in the fields of communication and management, as she was the head of the North African Group in the African Public Administration Organization, in the year 2018. As for her efforts at the national level, Dr. Ghada Labib was among the members of theArtificial Intelligence Committeein the Assembly The Arabic language, the General Assembly of the Akhbar Al-Youm Foundation, the Supreme Council for the Digital Society in the Supreme Committee for Administrative Reform, and other areas of public work.

This honorable career path was – and still is – a form of struggle and striving towards implementing the Egyptian vision in all fields. Hence, her efforts were many through lectures, doctoral programs, and attending international conferences on financial technology and financial inclusion.

In addition to her pen, with which she wrote on various topics and studies, which were published in national newspapers and prestigious magazines, such as Al-Ahram, Al-Gomhouria, Rose Al-Youssef magazine, the Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Authority magazine, and the Arabic Language Academy magazine.

Dr. Ghada Labib’s career was diverse, not only in her capacity as “Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technology for Institutional Development,” but also through all of her positions, which included the Ministry of Planning, where she was Deputy Minister of Planning for Administrative Reform, as well as in her capacity as Advisor to the Prime Minister for Follow-up and Information Systems, and other government positions; To become a pioneer in many fields; This is what makes her worthy of being an inspiration to the women of the whole world, especially the women of Egypt and the Arab world.
