Transmia 2025: a regional platform for smart transportation and sustainability
Cairo is preparing to host the sixth session of the “TransMEA” exhibition, which specializes in smart transportation, infrastructure and logistics in the Middle East and Africa, between November 9 and 11 of this year, at the Egypt International Exhibition Center in New Cairo.
The exhibition is held under the patronage of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, who has been keen since the launch of the exhibition in 2018 to open all its sessions. Which reflects the event’s status as one of the most important regional and international events in the field of transportation.
Transmia represents more than a trade exhibition, it is a pivotal platform that brings together decision-makers, experts and international companies. In order to showcase the latest innovations in the field of smart transportation. It is also a space for exchanging experiences and formulating future visions related to infrastructure development and enhancing the efficiency of transportation networks, especially in light of the transformations the world is witnessing towardsclean energy and sustainable solutions.
The holding of “Trans Mia” also reflects the efforts made by the Ministry of Transport, led by Lieutenant General Engineer Kamel Al-Wazir – Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport – who played a pivotal role in supporting the organization of the exhibition and expanding its scope. To keep pace with the boom witnessed by the transportation sector in Egypt.

The Minister was keen to follow up on the smallest details. In order to ensure that the event is an integrated platform to showcase the country’s achievements in infrastructure and smart transportation, and at the same time a window for communicating with international partners and enhancing regional cooperation.
The event is expected to attract high-level delegations from various countries in the Arab region and the world. Which makes it an arena for signing cooperation agreements and launching new initiatives that support the economy and open broad horizons for investment.
Intelligent transportation at the heart of the green transition
The exhibition comes at a time when the world is witnessing increasing interest in sustainable transport, as it is one of the main keys to achieving the sustainable development goals. Electric vehicles, smart infrastructure, and low-emission mass transportation solutions are no longer just future trends, but have become inevitable paths to confront climate challenges and reduce dependence on fossil fuels.
The “Transmia” program reflects this trend by highlighting the latest digital solutions and innovations in transportation, including smart payment systems, artificial intelligence technologies in traffic management, and integration between different means of transportation to create a more efficient and sustainable system.
The logo and its message towards sustainability
The “Transmia” exhibition during this session carries the slogan “Transport & Logistics in Action: Connecting the Middle East & Africa”, which is a slogan that embodies the regional and international dimension of the event, and at the same time reflects the importance of sustainability as an essential element in connecting continents and enhancing cooperation between markets.
This slogan is not limited to highlighting the traditional role of transport or logistics as a tool for moving trade, but rather places them at the heart of the sustainable development process, as regional connectivity between the Middle East and Africa constitutes a gateway to strengthening the green economy and creating more flexible and efficient networks.
The logo integrates with several goals of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs); The most important of them are:
- Goal 11: Sustainable cities and communities, by providing smart transportation systems that support urban development and reduce environmental impact.
- Goal 13: Climate action, by promoting low-emission transportation solutions and clean energy, as a way to address the challenges of climate change.
- Goal 9: Industry, innovation and infrastructure, through developing an integrated infrastructure linking continents and opening broader areas for trade and investment.

Thus, the slogan “Trans Mia” becomes more than an identity for the exhibition, but rather a practical message confirming that transportation and logistics are two main drivers for achieving sustainable development goals and enhancing cross-border cooperation, in a way that serves the present and future generations.
New partnerships and exchange of experiences
The exhibition represents a distinguished opportunity to establish new partnerships between governments, the private sector, and investors. It provides a suitable environment for the exchange of expertise and successful experiences between countries. Through discussion sessions and workshops, countries’ policies in supporting green transformation and benefiting from successful models in developing smart infrastructure are reviewed.
The exhibition is also expected to witness the signing of agreements and memorandums of understanding between local and international institutions, with the aim of enhancing investments in the fields of sustainable transport. Which contributes to advancing economic development and creating new job opportunities.
Egypt on the global innovation map
Holding this event in Cairo confirms Egypt’s position as a prominent regional center in the fields of smart transportation and modern infrastructure. The efforts made by the state to modernize road networks, launch new metro lines, expand mass transit projects, and support the trend towards electric vehicles; All of them constitute fertile ground for attracting global investments.

With the presence of “Trans Mia” as an annual event, Egypt’s position is strengthened as a major axis linking Africa, the Middle East, and Europe. This allows it to play a greater role in leading the regional transformation towards more efficient and sustainable transportation systems.
Towards a more sustainable future
In the end, “Trans Mia” represents more than a technical exhibition, but rather a clear message that transportation is no longer just a means of transportation, but rather a tool for sustainable development and environmental protection. The integration between technology, government policies, and private investments is what will determine the course of the future in confronting the challenges of climate change, and achieving a balance between economic growth and protecting natural resources.
The holding of the exhibition under the auspices of the Presidency of the Republic reflects Egypt’s awareness of the importance of this strategic sector, and its keenness to be an active part in formulating global solutions that guarantee a more aware and responsible future for future generations.
In this sense,The Earth Guards Foundationpraises the pivotal role that the exhibition plays in enhancing environmental awareness, supporting efforts to transition towards environmentally friendly transportation systems, and building bridges of cooperation between governments, the private sector, and civil society. It is an inspiring model of how technology and infrastructure can be used to serve the sustainable development goals and ensure a better future for future generations.
In conclusion,The Earth Guards Foundation believes that the “Trans Mia” exhibition represents more than a platform for displaying the latest transportation and logistics technologies, but rather it is a strategic event that combines innovation and sustainable development in an integrated manner. The slogan, which focuses on “Transport and Logistics in Motion: Connecting the Middle East and Africa,” clearly reflects the shared vision towards a more interconnected and sustainable future.
