The official spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic, Counselor Ahmed Fahmy, stated that the meeting dealt with reviewing the Egyptian government’s plan to transfer the ministries and their affiliated agencies, as well as other government institutions to the new administrative capital, and this is based on the directives of Mr. President to intensify efforts to ensure that the process of moving the government to the new administrative capital is a step towards developing the state’s administrative apparatus in a qualitative and comprehensive manner.
The directives of Mr. President did not only include modernizing buildings and facilities, but also included qualifying workers of various grades, and training government cadres to use the latest scientific methods in management, which contributes to improving the efficiency of the administrative apparatus and increasing its effectiveness to the highest possible degree.
These efforts come within the framework of the transition to smart government that aims to start a new era of serving citizens with distinguished and digitized services, and in light of the development and growth of the Egyptian state, and the transition to the new republic that works to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with the help of its loyal people, to formulate a better present, and ensure an honorable future for our beloved country.
The official spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic added that during the meeting, Mr. President was briefed on the extent of development in the implementation of the first phase of the “Decent Life” initiative concerned with developing the Egyptian countryside, in addition to the extent of readiness to begin the second phase, as the President directed – in this context – the necessity of continuing coordination and cooperation between the various concerned authorities and agencies in the state, with periodic field follow-up of the executive position.
