The comprehensive and sustainable Egyptian development experience
Believein Egypt’s Vision 2030which was launched in 2016, and which reflects the long-term strategic planof the Egyptian statetowards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and distributing its fruits in an equal and fair manner, to ensure progress. With the quality of life of the Egyptian citizen, and in furtherance of that ambitious national vision, the launch of the “Earth Guards” magazine came about. To confirm the updated vision that was launched in 2018, a vision that emphasizes addressing and intertwining all sustainable issues from a three-dimensional perspective: the environmental, economic, and social dimensions, this magazine, which I hope will be a real addition to spreading awareness of all aspects of sustainable development issues and their integrated and comprehensive dimensions across spectrums. All of society.
With lofty goals, sincere messages, and noble endeavors, nations live and build their glories, while ensuring a similar life for their generations in the future. Hence, it was necessary for all countries to unite towards goals that guarantee sustainable development for all of humanity, and Egypt – as usual – was at the forefront of countries that charted its strategic path towards achieving these goals by the year 2030 AD. It set out its comprehensive vision that guarantees the achievement of real development, achieving a “dignified life” for its people, and a dignified life for its future generations.
Egypt Vision 2030focuses on improving the quality of life of the Egyptian citizen and improving his standard of living; This is done by emphasizing the consolidation of the principles of justice and participation in political and social life, and even launching major national projects, which truly represented a locomotive to push the Egyptian economy towards broader and broader horizons of increasing job opportunities and achieving a boom in the Egyptian infrastructure, the most important of which is Road projects, which represent the most important arteries of development; Which formed a stimulating environment for the flow of investments, as well as enhancing financial inclusion and building smart cities, the most important of which is the New Administrative Capital, which represents a global model for modern and contemporary cities.
In addition to a housing project for all Egyptians, which providedhousing units for low-income peopleand middle-income people, and financial initiatives subject to the real estate financing law with soft interests of up to 3% for low-income people.
In addition to what has been accomplished in the field of health, the initiatives of which have been numerous; Starting with “100 Million Health” in which the Egyptian state got rid of Virus C, the scourge of the era, passing through initiatives such as ending “waiting lists,” “communicable diseases,” “Coronavirus vaccines,” and other projects that prove their worth on the ground day after day.
The Egyptian Statealso works to reduce poverty in all its forms, and strives to provide an integrated system for social protection, make education available and ensure its quality, provide basic services, improve infrastructure, improve the cultural appearance, and control growth. population, enriching cultural life, developing digital infrastructure, providing resources in both rural and urban areas, enhancing financial inclusion, and empowering women, youth, and the most needy groups.
It should also be noted that Egyptian leadership in the transition towards a green economy, within the framework of its serious national vision to combat climate change at the local and global levels, which culminated in Egypt hosting the twenty-seventh session of the Conference of the Parties (COP) to the United Nations Convention. The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP27) in November in Sharm El-Sheikh, to achieve sustainability and comprehensiveness in its development experience.
Egypt’s Vision 2030 also gives great importance to confronting the effects of climate change, through the presence of an integrated environmental system capable of confronting natural risks, and its vision focuses on the governance of state institutions; Through administrative reform and consolidating transparency.
After all these achievements that the Egyptian state worked to achieve during its past eight years, all that remains for us is to have a specialized scientific news magazine; To spread awareness of sustainable issues among all segments of society, stimulate the private sector, and highlight its effective role in achieving all these desired goals. Let us preserve nature and its resources, and let us all be Earth Guards.
