In this event, the International Society for Healthcare Quality announced the selection of Dr. Ahmed Taha, “President of the General Authority for Health Accreditation and Control,” as a member of the Society’s International External Evaluation Council, at the regular meeting of the Council held in Dublin, the capital of Ireland.
This council is considered one of the most prominent international advisory structures specialized in evaluating accreditation systems and health care quality. It includes an elite group of leaders from accreditation bodies and health quality assessment institutions from multiple countries, including the United States of America, Canada, Australia, the Netherlands, China, Japan, Brazil, and England, in addition to a group of international experts in the fields of quality, patient safety, and accreditation of health institutions.

International recognition of the development of Egyptian health care
The selection of the head of the Egyptian General Authority for Health Accreditation and Supervision for membership in this international council represents an international appreciation for the role played by Egypt in developing the health care quality system, and also reflects the growing confidence in the Egyptian experience in the field of accreditation of health facilities and the application of national standards consistent with international best practices.
