Confronting unemployment.. The Ministry of Labor announces new employment opportunities during January 2026

Work is one of the basic pillars of the growth of the Egyptian economy and achieving comprehensivesustainable development; Its role is not limited to providing a source of income for individuals, because it extends to include enhancing social stability, raising production efficiency, and developing human capital as the real engine of the wheel of development.

Providing job opportunities for various segments of society also contributes to achieving the comprehensive Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in their social, economic and environmental dimensions by reducing inequalities by empowering people of determination and integrating them into the labor market, and providing decent work to ensure economic growth.

In light of the above, the state is making unremitting efforts to confront unemployment by providing decent and productive job opportunities that contribute to empowering youth and integrating various segments of society into the labor market, in a way that supports the achievement of social justice and enhances the ability of the national economy to grow and adapt to changing challenges.

Providing 7,293 new job opportunities

In this context, the Minister of Labor, Mr. Mohamed Gibran, announced the issuance of the bi-monthly employment bulletin, which includes new job opportunities available in a number of governorates, in cooperation between the Ministry of Labor and private sector companies, as part of the state’s ongoing efforts to provide decent job opportunities for young people, confront unemployment, and integrate various segments of society into the labor market, led by people of determination.

The Ministry stated, in a statement, that 65 private sector companies in 12 governorates expressed their willingness to provide 7,293 new job opportunities in various specializations and professions, including opportunities designated for people with special abilities (people of determination), with lucrative salaries determined according to the nature of the personal interview, with full commitment to applying the minimum wage, in addition to benefiting from the health and social insurance system.

Diverse opportunities in various governorates

The current bulletin includes job opportunities available in the governorates of:

  • Cairo
  • Giza
  • Menoufia
  • Gharbia
  • Minya
  • Assiut
  • Qena
  • New Valley
  • Assiut
  • Al Sharqiya
  • South Sinai

The job opportunities offered vary to include a wide range of specializations, including: marketing specialists, human resources specialists, communications and electrical engineers, mechanical and electrical control supervisors, maintenance managers, accountants, site and upholstery supervisors, production supervisors, chefs, purchasing specialists, sellers, applicants, storekeepers, sales representatives, quality controllers, technicians in various specialties, and drivers. With first, second and third licenses, and security personnel, in addition to opportunities in the hotel and restaurant sector, in addition to production and cleaning workers and other specialties.

An integrated system of vocational training programs

The Minister called on Egypt’s youth to turn to work in the private sector as it is one of the main engines of economic growth and one of the effective paths to confronting unemployment, stressing that the Egyptian state places human capital development at the top of its priorities, by providing an integrated system of free vocational training programs that aim to qualify young people and raise their efficiency in accordance with the actual and changing needs of the labor market.

Noting that the Ministry of Labor continues its ongoing efforts to provide real and decent job opportunities that contribute to reducing unemployment rates, ensuring a decent life, and opening broader horizons for young people to achieve their professional ambitions in various governorates, through the bi-monthly employment bulletin that the Ministry issues regularly with the aim of confronting unemployment.

Dedicated jobs for people of determination

The Ministry confirmed that the employment bulletin includes a number of jobs designated for people of determination, in implementation of the provisions of Law No. 10 of 2018 regarding the rights of persons with disabilities, which requires establishments to allocate no less than 5% of their total employees to this category, in a step that reflects the state’s commitment to every individual’s right to decent work without discrimination.

This comes within the framework of a comprehensive humanitarian and development vision that aims to empower people of determination economically and socially, and enhance their active participation in the labor market, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially those related to eliminating poverty, decent work, and reducing inequalities. Through these efforts, the Ministry seeks to transform empowerment from a mere legal obligation into a sustainable development path that raises human value and ensures real integration that contributes to building a more just society. And cohesion.

It is clear from the above that confronting unemployment is a necessary tool for achieving comprehensive development and enabling young people to contribute effectively to society, and linking work to human capital development enhances social stability, supports economic growth, and turns the labor market into a real platform for empowerment and development.
