In light of the severe climate changes that the planet is currently experiencing, the importance of enhancing sustainability efforts in the industrial sector and other sectors is highlighted. Among these sustainable efforts, clean energy remains an important focus in comprehensive sustainable development. This is something that was demonstrated in the past few days by the third edition of the annual international forum and exhibition for the industry.
AtThe Annual International Forum and Exhibition for Industry, which was opened by Dr. Mostafa Madbouly – Prime Minister – the results and outputs were as required, and in a way that benefits the Egyptian industry now and in the future, as the management of the forum announced a group of agreements and partnerships at the regional and international levels, including providing funds that help achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the sector. Energy, and meetings were organized between Egyptian and foreign companies; To cooperate to enhance future investments and activate more export contracts. All of this is in response to the directives of the President of the Republic, who always urges increased efforts to attract investments.

In order to help it reduce its emissions, modernize its machinery, and shift its sectors towards renewable energy. Regarding this agreement, Dr. Ahmed Kamal – Director of the Environmental Compliance Office in the Federation of IndustriesFederation of Industries– indicated that the goal of these funds is to develop the Egyptian industry in a more sustainable manner, as we can improve productivity, support companies to export their products, and reduce waste from their industries.
Regarding reducing the carbon footprint and harmful emissions, Dr. Ahmed Kamal explained that the Environmental Compliance Office in the Federation of Industries provides financial and technical support to companies. To help them reduce carbon emissions, by recycling, or financing the purchase of environmentally friendly machines, and other sustainable methods. He also stressed the importance of increasing the awareness of producers and manufacturers about the importance of reducing carbon in their products, and opening new markets. Explaining the importance of focusing on reducing energy consumption while preserving natural resources.
Egyptian industry in the global market
The conclusion of the annual international forum and exhibition for industry also resulted in a call for applying sustainability thought in a way that contributes to raising the level of Egypt’s productive competitiveness, and this at the local and regional levels. In the same context, Philip Jaco, head of the EPAP project, reviewed Egypt’s prominent efforts in means of financing industries, and its efforts to transform this vital sector towards clean energy. Tarek Gomaa, head of the Pottery and Ceramics Division, also stressed the importance of sustainability in the ceramic industry, pointing out the necessity of providing sustainable financing to support specialized companies, including companies run by people of determination, as sustainability becomes an irreplaceable reality among all segments of society. In order to ensure a safe future for us and our future generations.
In conclusion, the Earth Guards affirm that there is no alternative to sustainability, in order to preserve the capabilities of our beloved country – Egypt – and preserve its resources. Therefore, the Egyptian government is making significant efforts to achieve this national goal, as the economy becomes more developed and citizens’ lives become more sustainable, in accordance with the national vision “Egypt Vision 2030”.
