Hala Al-Saeed praises the achievements of the National Alliance for Civil Action

In her meeting with the delegation of theNational Alliancefor Civil Work, the Minister of Planning and Economic Development – Dr. Hala Al-Saeed – praised the idea of establishing the alliance and what it achieved during the past months, stressing the necessity of coordination between the government and civil society in all files.

 The Minister of Planning and Economic Development confirmed that the coalition can play an important role at many levels. Including: economic empowerment, raising awareness and building awareness among citizens of the seriousness of the population crisis.

During the meeting, Dr. Hala Al-Saeed reviewed the ministry’s most important areas of work and projects, and the most important areas that represent opportunities for cooperation with the coalition, most notably the national project for Egyptian family development, which aims to improve population characteristics and control population growth.

Al-Saeed also reviewed ways to deepen cooperation with the coalition in the national project “A Decent Life”, and to develop mechanisms for the National Alliance for Civil Action to contribute to the follow-up system and monitor the actual needs of the citizen.

The Minister of Planning and Economic Development referred to Egypt’s Vision 2030, and the need for civil society to play a fundamental role in achieving it, as it is the third leg in the golden triangle to achieve development alongside the government and the private sector.

The Minister of Planning listened to the interventions of members of the National Alliance for Civil Action, praising the ideas that were presented.

She also stressed that the state will seek to make the most of the coalition’s capabilities, and support networking and coordination with civil society in many areas. Chief among them is social protection, supporting the most vulnerable groups, and updating databases for the most needy families and irregular workers.

The Minister of Planning and Economic Development stressed all the ministry’s leaders to open channels of communication and cooperation with the coalition, and to build an effective partnership in files of common interest.
