During her dialogue with the “Earth Guards”Reham Abdel Ghafour stressed her happiness to participate in this event that would preserve the environment, as well as her desire to increase in new ways to promote positive practices that help in the optimal use of natural resources for a better life for us and for future generations.
We want to know the artist Reham Abdel Ghafour’s interest in issues of environmental preservation...and how did this interest become a way of life for her?
The truth is that interest in environmental preservation mechanisms was not one of my interests until recently, and what prompted me to do so was my son, who spoke to me a lot about the negatives of our daily practices that cause severe damage to the environment, and how we misuse natural resources!
We talked about the importance of recycling some thingsthat we use frequently, and we talked about the water crisis, the dangers of which were approaching at a speed that we did not expect!
As for today at the magazine’s launch ceremony, I learnedthe extent of the damage caused by our use of plastic bags, which remain in the environment for hundreds of years without decomposing, and cause the death of millions of marine creatures, some of which have become extinct as a result; Which leads to an environmental imbalance... Therefore, I will begin by myself to replace wrong behaviors with behaviors that are safer for the environment and more sustainable development.
Do you think that the “Earth Guards” magazine might provide you with more information that you are looking for on this subject?
Certainly, I am very happy to launch the magazine“Defenders of the Earth”; After attending the magazine’s launch ceremony, and listening to the attendees’ contributions, I learned many things that I was looking for, and I did not find a source that would help me to find the information I was looking for, so what about issuing a specialized magazine? I expect the magazine to provide diverse content in several directions that will be of interest to all groups.
In conclusion.. Do we expect from Reham Abdel Ghafour an artistic work in which she speaks about her own conviction in environmental issues?
I wish I had the talent of writing a screenplay to write this work myself, and certainly if I was offered a work that discusses environmental issues and people’s negative and positive behaviors towards the environment, I would not hesitate for a moment to accept it, and I hope thatmagazine“Defenders of the Earth”will address such; With its experience, scientific capabilities, and societal contributions in the field of the environment.
