Digitization is a national project
Egypt Digital Platform is an electronic interface and a national project to re-engineer government procedures on digital foundations. In recent years, the number of its users has increased, which reflects confidence inCitizens enjoy the ease of electronic services, especially with the continuous expansion in adding new services, including catering, civil registry, documentation, courts, and others.

Digital Egypt and Digital Governance
By integrating services that required a long time and great effort, Digital Egypt helped address the phenomenon of overcrowding, work to reduce intermediation, and achieve greater transparency in government procedures, while implementing public requests easily, as well as enhancing the state’s ability to measure citizens’ satisfaction and evaluate the quality of services periodically.

Work is also underway to add services for Egyptians working abroad, in a step that supports interaction with the people of the country in all countries, and consolidates the principle of a state that is digitally connected to its citizens wherever they are, fromThrough services that are not linked to geographical boundaries or time restrictions.

The success of the Egypt Digital Platform depends on the availability of a strong communications network and advanced cyber protection systems, in addition to training working cadres in digital skills,Artificial Intelligence, data analysis, and technological qualification programs that integrate with the national goal of building a digital economy capable of keeping pace with global developments.

What is the citizen waiting for?
The government is moving to offer more exclusive e-government services through the Digital Egypt platform, including digital identity services, the digital card, and residency and passport services, in addition to plans to link the platform to a larger number ofGovernment agencies.
In this regard, Dr. Amr Talaat, “Minister of Communications and Information Technology” announced – during the opening of the twenty-ninth session of the Cairo International Exhibition and Conference – the start of making the issuance of a birth certificate, marriage certificate, and divorce certificate available to Egyptians working abroad through the Egypt Digital Platform, with the UAE being the first country in which this new path is activated, with the activation of the document delivery service to citizens via Egyptian Post.
This expansion comes in conjunction with the Ministry’s readiness to add about 45 new services to the platform during the coming period, in a step that reflects a clear trend towards generalizing digital services to citizens inside and outside Egypt, a development that will make the citizen able to complete most of his government transactions electronically, without any direct contact or movement between offices.
