National efforts to promote sustainable food production

For his part, Dr. Alaa Farouk, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, reviewed the state’s most prominent projects in the field of promoting sustainable agricultural systems, pointing to the expansion of protected crops and organic agriculture, and the application of contract farming concepts to ensure the production of healthy and safe food.

He also referred to the giant projects being implemented in the field of land reclamation, which aim to reclaim 4 million acres by 2030, in a way that enhances opportunities for self-sufficiency in strategic crops.
