Within the framework of the Urban Development Fund projects that aim to restore the urban facade of Cairo, Engineer Khaled Siddiq, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Urban Development Fund, presented to Prime Minister Dr. Mustafa Madbouly a report on arrangements for the launch of the 2025 Fustat Winter Festival, which will be hosted by Fustat Hills Park, next Friday.
The Prime Minister encouraged the holding of a winter festival in Fustat Hills Park, stressing that it is related to one of the most important goals of this project, which is to promote this site as a distinctive entertainment and tourist destination, in the heart ofCairo, with a charming nature, and overlooking many historical and archaeological destinations.
Green spaces in the heart of Cairo
Engineer Khaled Siddiq indicated that the projectFustat Hills Park comes within a vision to restore the urban facade of Cairo, by adding green spaces in the heart of Cairo on an area of approximately 500 acres, in the Old Misr area, Cairo Governorate, as “Fustat Hills” is among the largest parks of its kind in the Middle East, and includes many activities that depend on reviving Egyptian heritage throughout its eras. The project also includes many cultural, entertainment, and commercial activities, hotel services, and outdoor theatres, in addition to an area of ancient monuments and excavations, and a heritage gardens area, pointing out that this project is integrated with the idea of holding the first winter festival in the heart of Cairo, similar to the Cairo City Festival.New Alamein, which is held during the summer season and attracts a wide audience from different age and cultural groups.
Reviving heritage and encouraging domestic tourism
The activities of the Fustat Hills Winter Garden Festival 2025 will take place under the slogan “Fustat is back again” on the Arena stage. Engineer Khaled Seddik explained that the project comes as a step towards reviving the heritage in this charming site and encouraging domestic tourism, in continuation of the celebrations of theOpening of the Grand Egyptian Museum.

The festival begins tomorrow, Friday, November 14, and its activities will continue until December 5. It will witness the organization of concerts performed by a group of Egyptian stars, and the opening ceremony of the Fustat Winter Festival will be an evening performed by musicians.The great Omar Khairat, followed by other concerts with the participation of the artist Amal Maher, the artist Tamer Ashour, the artist Ahmed Saad, the artist Marwan Moussa, and many other stars.
