The meeting witnessed the presence of Dr. Mohamed Awad, CEO of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones, and Ambassador Hossam Hussein, Consul General of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Dubai, where discussions focused on mechanisms for supporting emerging Egyptian entities abroad, and creating the business environment to facilitate their expansion and transfer of their expertise to the Egyptian market.

With the aim of enhancing its ability to expand in foreign markets in parallel with increasing its contribution to the national economy, in a way that supports the eighth goal of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) related to achieving decent work and economic growth, by enhancing the ability of emerging companies to grow, expand and create new job opportunities.

The Minister of Planning and Economic Development reviewed the facilitation package provided by the Ministry and its affiliated agencies, and highlighted the pivotal role of the National Investment Bank and its investment arms, which includes directing direct investments.To support emerging companies, with a special focus on financial services activities for their crucial role in accelerating the pace of growth and attracting investments, in order to achieve the ninth goal of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which calls for strengthening industry, innovation and infrastructure, and supports the expansion of innovative solutions and technology-based services.
