Bedaya Initiative: 100 Days of Sustainable Achievements

Efforts are being combined to achieve the ultimate goal of sustainability, which is building humanity, and we atEarth Guards are working to raise awareness of everything related to the efforts made in the field of sustainable development in accordance with “Egypt Vision 2030”. One of these efforts is the “A New Beginning for Human Building” initiative, which was launched by Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly on September 17, 2024, under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

In this national initiative, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar - Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development and Minister of Health and Population - announced that it is an initiative that seeks to achieve multiple goals in areas that affect the lives of citizens. Over the past 100 days, the initiative has provided millions of services to citizens, and we will highlight some of them in the following lines.

Health Achievements

Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar explained that the Bedaya initiative seeks to achieve a comprehensive health system and an educational system capable of contributing to providing suitable jobs for the future, as well as providing decent job opportunities for all, achieving integrated and sustainable urban development, and ensuring a decent life for all Egyptians, with the participation of 32 governmental, private and private bodies.

The Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development announced that the Bedaya Initiative has achieved great health achievements during the past 100 days. It helped perform 148,000 surgical operations, launch 1,525 medical convoys covering all specialties, support hospital infrastructure with 1.2 billion pounds, and provide modern medical equipment to support government and university hospitals with medical devices such as dialysis machines and chairs for people with special needs.

Educational Achievements

At the same time, the initiative implemented 5 million, 293 thousand and 198 activities to develop the skills of school students and teachers through a number of seminars, training programs, interactive workshops, and various competitions in all fields. 5 technical schools were developed, in addition to financing 10 school development projects, as part of the initiative to operate 100 technical schools, in addition to the “No Illiteracy with Solidarity” initiative, which benefited 15,537 students.

Youth Empowerment

Within the framework of youth empowerment, the initiative achieved remarkable success in empowering youth, as it provided 192 training courses in 49 different professions through 34 mobile training centers and 48 fixed centers in 25 governorates, from which 3,721 young men and women benefited. The initiative also provided a wide range of programs and services from which millions of citizens benefited in various fields from vocational training to community awareness.

In the same context, the Bedaya Initiative sought to achieve sustainable development by supporting small and medium enterprises, as 93,507 projects were financed, 51,127 job opportunities were created, and it also focused on community awareness; It organized 3,492 seminars and workshops in various fields, benefiting 1,262,853 participants.

To ensure a safe work environment, the “Your Safety is Important to Us” event organized 6 employment forums and provided 382 job opportunities for people with special needs. With these efforts, the Bedaya Initiative emphasized the importance of empowering youth and vulnerable families, enhancing community awareness, supporting employment, and building a more sustainable society.

Women’s support and empowerment

The initiative has benefited more than two million women, through various services, including financial inclusion, training women in craft skills, supporting small projects, and providing family guidance. More than 6 million women also benefited from special awareness campaigns on the importance of the first 1,000 days in a child’s life, and more than 648,000 women received the 1,000 Days Golden Grant.

Social support programs

The initiative distributed “Solidarity and Dignity” cash support program cards to 1,190,833 citizens, ended waiting lists, and closed complaints submitted by citizens for 54,646 citizens. It also provided 40,000 mobile technological services, in addition to providing 103,972 postal services.

The Bedaya initiative provided the necessary services for people with special needs, including issuing an integrated services card, in addition to providing rehabilitative services through institutions for caring for and rehabilitating people with needs, while providing prosthetic devices numbering 104,747 devices.

In conclusion, the achievements achieved by the Bedaya Initiative in the first 100 days are an important step on the path to achieving sustainable development. Therefore, we must all continue to support this initiative, and work together to build a better future for us and for future generations.
