President Sisi directs to increase human development allocations in the new budget

Within the framework of the pursuit of sustainable development that places the citizen at the heart of its priorities, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi directed to increase financial allocations for human development programs in the new budget. This decision comes within the framework of “Egypt Vision 2030”, which aims to improve the quality of life for citizens, especially the most needy groups, by investing in human capital and promoting social justice.

The increase in allocations directed to human development is part of a comprehensive vision that aims to improve the various aspects that affect the lives of citizens, and this includes supporting social programs such as “Solidarity and Dignity,” which provides financial assistance to the most needy families, in addition to financing the new social package to ensure an adequate standard of living, as well as human development programs such as the “Beginning” initiative. These measures not only enhance social stability, but also contribute to improving economic productivity by providing an appropriate environment for growth and investment.

Education and health are pillars of sustainable development

Education and health constitute the cornerstone of any efforts aimed at achieving sustainable human development, and increasing allocations in the general budget for these sectors will contribute to improving the quality of education, whether through developing the infrastructure of schools and universities, or by providing training and qualification programs for teachers, ensuring the provision of education that suits the needs of the labor market. Also, focusing on technical education and vocational training can enhance the ability of young people to integrate into the labor market, and all of this contributes to achieving Goal (4) of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) “Quality Education”.

As for the health sector, increasing allocations means improving health services provided to citizens, whether through developing hospitals and health centers, or by strengthening primary health care programs and disease prevention, and this contributes to achieving Goal (3) of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) “good health and well-being.”

Enhancing financial sustainability

In addition to increasing financial allocations for human development, the Egyptian government affirms its commitment to controlling public spending and achieving an initial budget surplus. This is to ensure the sustainability of the state's financial resources. These measures aim to reduce public debt and enhance fiscal discipline; Which provides a more stable economic environment that allows investment in productive sectors and basic services.

This approach is consistent with Goal (17) of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):Forging Partnerships to Achieve the Goals, which calls for strengthening partnerships between the public and private sectors in order to achieve sustainable development; By adopting balanced fiscal policies, the government can direct more investments to human development projects without affecting overall economic stability.

Achieving social justice

Within the framework of promoting sustainable development, efforts are not limited only to controlling spending, but also include ensuring that resources are distributed fairly, which achieves effective support for the most needy groups, and achieving social justice is one of the main motivations for these directives. The government aims to ensure that support reaches the most needy groups, while improving distribution mechanisms to achieve the highest levels of efficiency and transparency, and this is consistent with Goal (10) of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): Reducing inequalities, which focuses on reducing economic and social gaps within countries.

In addition, reforms in the social protection system and creating a more balanced economic environment contribute to enhancing societal and economic stability, which leads to providing new job opportunities, increasing income levels, and advancing sustainable economic growth.

She believes Earth Guards that President Sisi’s directive to increase human development allocations in the general budget represents an important step towards achieving sustainable development in Egypt, and reflects the state’s keenness to improve education, enhance health services, and support the most needy groups, and also reflects the extent of the state’s interest in making the lives of Egyptians a decent life.
