Opening of the industrial city east of Port Said
In the presence of a number of Egyptian and Emirati ministers and officials, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly - Prime Minister of Egypt - inaugurated the Kizad Industrial City project east of Port Said, which is considered a milestone in international cooperation between the two countries. The Prime Minister reviewed the importance of bilateral cooperation, noting that the Kizad Industrial City project east of Port Said embodies the visions of the governments of the two countries to enhance joint investments in vital sectors such as industry, trade, and logistics services, which reflects a major development in the economic relations between them.
He explained that this cooperation comes within the framework of the Egyptian state’s vision to make the Suez Canal axis a global industrial and logistical center, which enhances economic sustainability in the region and contributes to diversifying sources of national income. Madbouly also stressed that this project represents a vital step towards achieving the goals of sustainable development, which is one of the Egyptian government’s priorities in the current period.
Madbouly announced that the project will contribute significantly to enhancing the global competitiveness of the Suez Canal Economic Zone, which in recent years has become one of the most attractive regions for global investments thanks to its advanced infrastructure and its unique geographical location that connects three continents and overlooks the Suez Canal.

The General Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone - which is part of Egypt’s strategy for sustainable development - is considered a fundamental pillar in attracting investments and achieving integration between industries and logistics services in the region. Project Details
The Kizad Industrial City project east of Port Said extends over an area of 20 square kilometers, and is being implemented in phases, starting with the first phase, which covers 2.8 square kilometers. This phase aims to provide an integrated infrastructure that meets the needs of various industries, with a total investment of120 million US dollars allocated to cover market and technical studies and preliminary construction work. Construction work for this phase is expected to begin at the end of the year 2025, which includes the construction of a 1.5 km pier, with the possibility of adding a multi-purpose charging station in the future.
The usufruct contract for the Kizad Industrial City project, east of Port Said, will last for 50 years. This reflects the seriousness in implementing the project and the economic sustainability it will achieve in the long term.
