6 Millions of children benefiting from “Solidarity and Dignity”

Within the framework of expanding the scope of the “Solidarity and Dignity” program to include protecting children from social risks, the Minister of Social Solidarity, Dr. Maya Morsi, directed the intensification of efforts to combat child labor through integrated interventions based on addressing the economic causes associated with poverty. More than 6 million children currently benefit from the program, making it one of the main tools you rely on.The Ministry is to ensure that children remain in education and reduce their exposure to exploitation, in the context of a broader strategy to empower families in need of care.

Accordingly, the Ministry expanded the establishment of specialized centers to confront child labor, the number of which has so far reached 16 centers concerned with rehabilitation and school integration, in addition to operating 71 vocational centers at the governorate level to rehabilitate children of legal working age, after ensuring their enrollment in compulsory education, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education. Protecting families affected by accidents

In the same context, and in coordination with the government complaints system, the Minister directed rapid intervention to support families affected by the explosion of a petroleum and paints store in the village of Al-Barajil in Giza Governorate, which led to the demolition of a number of residential units and damage to 9 families.
