In the field of sustainable development and the environment, the magazine“Earth Guards” appeared in its first issue; As the first specialized scientific news magazine, it is a real shift and an important addition to the field ofSustainability, environment and climate. It is also a scientific awareness-raising element that joins the ranks of purposeful media. We are in urgent need of this type of media. To educate citizens about the environment, environmental issues and the importance of raising awareness about them have imposed themselves on the scene now, and they have become the most prominent and important topic. It is no longer limited to a specific group of intellectuals.

I was pleased to launch the “Earth Guards” magazine,, which I believe will be a reference and a beacon for different spectrums and many orientations of readers in general, and those interested in environmental affairs in particular. Everyone has become interested in the environment and the dangers surrounding it!

Within the framework of achieving Egypt’s Vision 2030,At this time when the city of Sharm El Sheikh is preparing to receive the most important global event related to the environmentCOP27, Egypt has taken several measures in order to preserve the environment and provide a more sustainable life;  There are more than thirty national projects in several fields. Such as agriculture, petroleum, and electricity… The Egyptian state seeks to ensure that various activities are more environmentally friendly and climate-preserving. We are also working to expand green building areas, and we are keen to ensure that all types of energy and fuel move towards a safe environment.

As for the use of plastic,it is dangerous! The content of a statement by the Secretary-General of the United Nations at the Lisbon Conference stated: “The oceans are almost suffocating from the abundance of plastic waste!” Plastic garbage is one of the behaviors that most negatively affects the phenomenon of climate change. Let us imagine that plastic garbage remains for more than 300 years to decompose, and it also has negative effects on the environment. Such as harming oceans and rivers.

In this regard, Egypt has succeeded in getting rid of plastic waste to a large extent. I called on the Egyptian Parliament to adopt Sharm El-Sheikh as a completely plastic-free city. It now uses paper and tools that are recycled again in a healthy manner in all its service areas.

As for Egypt’s status in the field of global initiatives,it is the tip of the scale for Arab and African countries. When it hosts any awareness event or conference, it has an impact and impact in the Arab countries. Egypt always takes the initiative and is the first, as the big sister of the Arab countries.

The Egyptian state has come a long way in the field of the environment; Sharm El Sheikh has been declared a green city, and it will be declared a plastic-free city before the climate conferenceCOP27; To become the model that will be applied in the rest of the governorates. To eliminate plastic waste, which represents an environmental disaster.

And in conclusion..We will ensure that there are industries to convert plastic waste into energy products and use them as alternative fuels in the face of the energy and fuel crisis that is ravaging the world, so that our energy becomes clean and environmentally friendly energy.
