In addition to this vital position, Professor Lamia Kamel was able to lead the “Voice of Egypt Summit” Foundation, and she is also the managing editor of “Flare” magazine, and before that she was the Assistant Minister of Tourism and Antiquities for the Promotion Department.
Her previous position in the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities was a tangible step in the field of promotional activities for the Ministry of Tourism, as Professor Lamia Kamel’s efforts were represented in building advertising and publicity campaigns, in addition to managing the public relations aspects of events and celebrations, as well as crisis management.
Those achievements in the public field are the result of her perseverance in striving for success. She began this pursuit by obtaining a bachelor’s degree and then a master’s degree in business administration from the American University in Cairo, after which she strengthened her technical skills with extensive training in developing creative public relations campaigns and crisis management, and these trainings were in the British capital, London.
By returning to her company that she founded in 2006, Ms. Lamia Kamel was able to transform CC Plus into an influential company in the field of consulting. This made it a leading company in the Egyptian market.
Then in 2016, the “Voice of Egypt Summit for Public Relations” Foundation was established, of which five editions were held, with the participation of an elite group of experts in this field. Until it became a platform for promoting national brands, under the auspices of the Egyptian Council of Ministers.
Hence, Ms. Lamia Kamel became one of the pioneers of institutional communication in Egypt, in addition to being a communications advisor in many of the most famous presidential campaigns, such as the campaign of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
Mr. Lamia Kamel was then able to deepen her practical experiences and technical skills, and this was through her work at Vodafone Company; This qualified her to hold advisory positions, and she also worked with Petronas, the main Malaysian oil and gas company, the American Insurance Group (ICTDAR), and the United Nations Development Programme, which specializes in developing information and communications technology in the Arab world. In these international companies, their consulting efforts played a role in achieving international quality standards, especially with regard to converting such brands towards more sustainable methods.
In addition to the above, Professor Lamia Kamel has sustained efforts in the education sector, as she is a university lecturer who holds the position of professor at the American University in Cairo and Misr International University (MIU).
