What series…? Launched by the Earth Guards magazine to simplify environment and development terminology
The Earth Guards Shield, in its first ceremony, was aimed at stimulating the development and environmental fields, and was an introduction to a series of other concerts that will come in the near future. To honor institutions and individuals who achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and preserve the environment through their work. This shield is also an attempt to establish a societal relationship between the private and public sectors. Not only that, but through launching this unique competition – in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Solidarity – Homat Al-Earth magazine sought to invite civil society institutions and the government to pay attention to these two promising fields, as they are the engine of Egypt’s future and a clear path to activating “Egypt Vision 2030”.
Hence, one of the actual paths in which the magazine took tangible steps – with the launch of the Earth Guards Shield Competition – was to simplify the concepts of achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and preserving the environment. This step is nothing but an affirmation of its desire – since its inception – to strengthen the concepts of the environment and development. Therefore, I launched the series (What does it mean?), which is a series of introductory visual episodes, explaining in a simple manner the terms development and environment, and this within thirty seconds, such as: What do climate changes mean? What does global warming mean? What does carbon footprint mean?
This series has become a platform for educating the Egyptian citizen about the issues of climate change, and the resulting harmful effects on the environment around him. The series has also simplified the concepts of development. Until the Egyptian media praised it, and saw it as a great opportunity to support development and environmental work, especially after Egypt succeeded in hosting COP27”.
For all of this, Earth Guards magazine decided to support its steps with more pioneering and innovative ideas that help enhance ways to achieve sustainable development and its goals, in line with the seventeen Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), those goals launched by the United Nations. For a sustainable world for us and for future generations – and among these innovative and pioneering ideas are awareness articles, called (What…?).
Humat Al-Earth magazine will simplify environment and development terminology in the form of articles that serve this goal in a manner appropriate to the level of the average citizen. So that the entire society is aware and understanding of the transformation taking place around the world towards green societies and sustainable living.
The series (What…?) is a conscious pen and an honest word. Earth Guards magazine will spare no effort in making it a call for a sustainable homeland, and its first article will be: What is sustainable development? To be the introduction to a series of other related articles…so follow us.
