New digital institutional memory

In the beginning came the most prominent sustainable steps taken by Dr. Maya Morsi, “Minister of Social Solidarity,” in the field of digital transformation within state institutions. It witnessed the signing of three cooperation protocols with the Information and Decision Support Center of the Council of Ministers. In order to design and develop the “Digital Institutional Memory” for the Ministry of Social Solidarity.

The project includes archiving data and reorganizing knowledge within the ministry, so that decision-making becomes more accurate and rapid, based on a unified digital system. Early detection and women’s health

In a parallel context, Dr. Maya Morsi, “Minister of Social Solidarity,” witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Health and Population, in the presence of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, “Minister of Health and Population.” To launch an integrated system of women’s health services under the slogan “One step ahead.”

The cooperation also aims to expand programs for early detection of diseases, especially cervical cancer, in addition to improving reproductive health services and raising the efficiency of medical care provided to women in various governorates of the Republic.

This memorandum will turn into an integrated health project that includes establishing and equipping 30 specialized clinics, and expanding the scope of vaccination against the virus (HPV) for girls and women from childhood until the age of sixty, within the framework of a preventive vision that relies on early intervention instead of late treatment.

Care for Palestinian children

During the Cabinet meeting – chaired by Dr. Mustafa Madbouly – the Minister of Solidarity reviewed the state’s efforts to care for children coming from the Gaza Strip, within the framework of a humanitarian response that began in November 2023. These efforts are reflected in an integrated system that began from receiving newborn children through the Rafah crossing, transporting them using mobile incubators and equipped ambulances, all the way to settling them in care institutions. In a different context, Dr. Maya Morsi participated in honoring the heroes of the Color Blue series, which coincided with World Autism Awareness Day. During the event, the Minister stressed that autism is not a disease as much as it is a developmental condition that needs understanding, support and integration, noting that early intervention represents a real turning point in a child’s path, especially when the first signs appear in the early years of life.

The discussion turned into a broader social message about the importance of integration in education, work and culture, as it is the true gateway to building a more just and equitable society, while the Minister considered that drama has become a partner in shaping public awareness, by presenting complex humanitarian issues in simple language that reaches the public.

Managing the Alternative Families File

Within the framework of developing the social protection system, the Minister of Social Solidarity chaired a meeting with the Supreme Committee for Sponsored Alternative Families and the heads of local committees, where a new internal electronic system was launched to manage this sensitive file.

The system links the various committees in all governorates of the Republic, manages requests electronically, documents decisions, and archives sessions, in addition to periodically following up on field visits to children within foster families.

Senate discusses humanitarian aid

At a meeting of the Human Rights and Social Solidarity Committee in the Senate – headed by Dr. Abdel Hadi Al-Qasabi – Dr. Maya Morsi reviewed the state’s readiness to face regional challenges, and the role of the Egyptian Red Crescent in managing humanitarian operations.

There, the Minister of Social Solidarity explained that Egypt has succeeded in bringing more than 900,000 tons of aid into the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the crisis, and this is through an integrated relief system led by the Egyptian Red Crescent.

At the same meeting, the efforts of the “Zad Al-Azza from Egypt to Gaza” initiative were presented, and the humanitarian kitchen in Al-Arish, which provides hot meals on a daily basis, in addition to psychological support services and restoring family ties inside the crossings.

Economic empowerment from support to production

With regard to the shift towards sustainable development, the Minister of Social Solidarity reviewed during an expanded meeting in the presence of Dr. Hala Al-Saeed, “Economic Advisor to the President of the Republic,” the “Strategic Financial System for Economic Empowerment” program.

It is a program that relies on the gradual transition from cash support to production through financial and service packages that include microfinance, digital financial inclusion through the “Tahwisha” application, and marketing through “Diyarna” exhibitions, in addition to supporting agricultural and industrial projects, insurance, and digital savings.

Preparing for the Hajj season of civil society organizations

Regarding the ongoing preparation to receive the Hajj season, Dr. Maya Morsi witnessed the opening of the training program for Hajj supervisors of civil society organizations for the season 1447 AH/2026 AD. The program aims to qualify supervisors in the field and administratively, to ensure that the Hajj trip is managed with high efficiency, especially with the participation of 271 supervisors who combine experience and new elements, with an increase in the participation of women within the supervision system.

In light of this integrated movement adopted by Dr. Maya Morsi in the Ministry of Social Solidarity, it can be said that what Egypt is witnessing today falls within the framework of developing social protection policies; In order to reformulate the state’s philosophy in managing social justice as an integral part of the path of sustainable development.
