As for the heroine of this article, she is Professor Vivian Fikry, “Director of Sustainabilityand Social Responsibility at AstraZeneca Egypt,” who has led numerous companies with 15 years of experience, through a career that she began working in the Canadian Embassy, before moving to the pharmaceutical industry sector, where she worked for Sanofi; One of the largest multinational healthcare companies.
She joined AstraZeneca in 2019, as PresidentFor communications in Egypt and North Africa temporarily; To create effective communications that support the company’s image and reputation internally and externally, while ensuring a positive work environment and participation among employees.
After that, Professor Vivian Fikri held multiple roles, including human resources and communications positions, especially the field of social responsibility, where she was able to reflect her belief in the role of development and its strategies in pushing the peoples of the world to a better life for us and for future generations.
This professional journey was supported by academic certificates, confirming the extent of Professor Vivian Fikry’s interest in continuous development and self-improvement. So I obtained postgraduate diplomas from the American University in Cairo and the Canadian Management and Training Institute. Then, Professor Vivian Fikri continued her path towards development roles, where she was able to represent AstraZeneca at the COP27 climate summit, and thisAs a global company on Egyptian soil.
In addition, Professor Vivian Fekry leads the social responsibility agenda of many companies in Egypt, at the level of various stakeholders, such as: the World Health Organization, embassies, United Nations agencies, non-governmental organizations, and government agencies. All of this is to ensure the achievement of the goals ofsustainable development.
In addition to these public roles and responsibilities in the business sector, Professor Vivian Fekry is a member of the Middle East and North Africa Network to Support Community Protection, which was established by the Federation of Egyptian Industries and the International Labor Organization. With the aim of integrating the private sector into social dialogue.
