The National Institute of Marine Sciences and Fisheries celebrates World Recycling Day

In celebration of “World Recycling DayRecycling”, the “National Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries” of the “Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research” is organizing – this evening, Wednesday, March 15 – a workshop under the patronage of: Dr. Abeer Mounir, “President of the Intergovernmental Commission on Marine Sciences and Head of the Marine Environment Division at the Institute”; Dr. Amr Zakaria Hamouda, “President of the Institute,” and Dr. Tariq Othman, “Director of the Institute’s branch in Alexandria.” This is in continuation of the Institute’s mission of promoting environmental awareness, preserving natural environmental resources, as well as achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Before that, “Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research” – Dr. Ayman Ashour – confirmed support for Egyptian universities to obtain quality, safety and occupational health certificates, considering that this is a step towards developing higher education, and working to reduce occupational health and safety risks in universities, as well as making employee health protection at the forefront of planning processes, with their correct implementation; To become an effective tool in the field of investment.

For his part, Dr. Gamal Sousse, “President ofBanha University,” announced the recommendation of “AGA Company” – the body that grants ISO certificates – to renew the ISO 9001 – 2015 certificate, which is the certificate obtained by the university’s administrative system, as well as granting the university the occupational safety and health certificate: ISO 45001 – 2018; This is after all university departments underwent a review process of the quality management system, and a review of occupational safety and health procedures in accordance with standard specifications.
