The selection of Counselor Amal Ammar comes because she is an Egyptian woman who has made many sustainable achievements to her country in the field of judiciary, making her the first judge to hold the position of President of the National Council for Women. She began her life by obtaining a Bachelor of Laws in 1992, then obtained a Master’s degree in International Business Law. Before becoming President of the National Council for Women, she held many high-ranking positions, and she is among the first 30 female judges. In the history of the Egyptian judiciary.
After that, her role in achieving sustainable development within the judicial field was evident through many positions. She is – first of all – a member of the Administrative Prosecution Authority, and also a member of the Technical Office of the Minister of Justice for the dispute resolution sector and judicial protection of children; All of them are positions that reflect Chancellor Amal Ammar’s commitment to protecting the rights of individuals and promoting justice, which is the basis and essence of sustainable development.
The advisor/ Amal Ammar – before leading the National Council for Women – contributed to supporting women’s rights and working to innovate ideas that help empower them socially and economically, and this is through her membership in the National Council for Women since 2012, before she became an alternate rapporteur of the Council’s Legislative Committee in February 2016, which highlights her efforts in strengthening laws and policies that support women’s rights and achieve sustainable development in a way General.
The Chancellor/Amal Ammar has also committed to achieving all forms of sustainable development through her position as a judge with the rank of President of a Class “B” court in the South Cairo Court of First Instance, and a President of Appeal in the Qena Court of Appeal.
