Central banks in the Mediterranean region
The Ministry of Social Solidarity has realized that achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) requires an integrated vision that combines financial inclusion, social justice, and economic innovation, which was clearly embodied in the participation of Dr. Maya Morsi, “Minister of Social Solidarity,” in the activities of the ninth annual conference of central banks in the Mediterranean region, which was held under the slogan “Utilizing innovation and integration for sustainable and comprehensive development in the Mediterranean region,” and which was hosted by the Central Bank of Egypt with the participation of a number of central bank governors, policy makers, and economic experts from Various countries in the region.

The conference was organized in partnership between the Central Bank of Egypt, the Central Bank of Spain, the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the European Institute for the Mediterranean (IEMed), and the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM).
During her speech, the Minister expressed her appreciation for participating in this important dialogue on financial inclusion, stressing that financial inclusion is no longer just a political goal, but rather the cornerstone of sustainable prosperity in Egypt, the basic gateway to economic empowerment, and an effective tool for deepening financial inclusion and ensuring the flexibility of the social protection system.”
Dr. Maya Morsi also explained that Egypt’s firm commitment to strengthening the steps ofFinancial Inclusiondraws its roots from a long history of leadership in the field of social protection, which has enabled it to develop innovative economic systems to support the most needy families. This commitment is evident in the “Solidarity and Dignity” program, which has succeeded in reaching more than 7.8 million Egyptian families and empowering them financially and socially.
There, Dr. Maya Morsi also confirmed thatSocial Security Law No. (12) of 2025 represents a historic turning point in the course of the Egyptian social contract; By transferring the concept of cash support from being a temporary program toa permanent legislative right, it enhances the confidence of beneficiaries in the social protection system, and lays the foundation for achievingeconomic independence instead of dependency.
Within this approach, Dr. Maya Morsi indicated the launch ofThe National Financial System for Economic Empowermentin partnership withThe Central Bank of Egypt and more than 20 national bodies, to transform the beneficiaries of support into effective producers throughMicrofinance and business paths Sustainable.

The system enhancesnational financial accessby linking the Egyptian Post to Nasser Bank to provide more than4200 port for banking services by 2026, with a platform“Enable“digital platform that allows tracking the life cycle of projects, and a platform“Ayadi Egypt“For marketing local products.
“Our Heritage 2025” exhibitionLSupporting crafts and heritage
In a parallel context to economic empowerment efforts,The Minister of Social Solidarity inspected the pavilion of the Rural and Environmental Industries Support Fundat the “Our Heritage 2025” exhibition, held under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and opened by His Excellency the Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly.

The Fund participated with the products of more than ten exhibitors from different governorates, including Qalyubia, Luxor, Qena, Sohag, Kafr El-Sheikh, Alexandria, Cairo, Giza, and Sharqia. There, the Minister praised the quality of the displayed products, including ceramics, linen, marsso wood, and natural honey, stressing thatThese participations open new horizons for marketing heritage products and providing real job opportunitiesfor the people of the governorates.

Honoring institutional competencies within the Ministry
Within the framework of enhancing institutional performance,Dr. Maya Morsi honored the members of the Ministry’s Supreme Committee for Follow-up of Complaints, Requests and Services – headed by Professor Rania Ezzat – in appreciation of their distinguished efforts during the month of last September.
The Minister praised the level of achievement achieved by the committee in following up on complaints and implementing services, stressing thatFair and continuous institutional evaluation is the cornerstone in developing the performance of the various sectors within the Ministry, in implementation of the Prime Minister’s Decision No. (2564) of 2024 regarding the reorganization of the unified government complaints system.
