The National Health Strategy, enhances efficiency and unifies goals
The first year of implementing the strategy witnessed major challenges, most notably the need to change the culture of the patient so that he knows his rights and duties, in addition to developing the awareness of health service providers, so that they realize that follow-up and control are a methodology to solve problems from their roots and improve performance in a sustainable manner, and this was helped by work in line with the national health strategy.
Dr. Ahmed Taha indicated that GAHAR has today become one of the most important arms supporting Egypt’s position on the international health map, explaining that the law obligated the authority to obtain international accreditation for all its standards, which enhances its global reliability. It also granted it the authority to accredit health facilities regionally and internationally, which opens broad horizons for enhancing Egypt’s position as a regional center of excellence in the quality of health care, which contributes to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

This came during his participation in the high-level dialogue session entitled “Charting the Course for the Future,” which was held within the activities of the World Conference on Population, Health and Development PHDC’25 in its third edition.
