The Chairman of the Healthcare Authority reviews the 2032 strategy at the SOS Global Organization event
There is no doubt that the healthcare sector in Egypt has witnessed, in recent years, a remarkable development in terms of infrastructure, quality of services, and expansion of the scope of health coverage, within the framework of a national vision aimed at building a modern health system that puts people at the top of its priorities. This development contributed to improving the efficiency of medical services and enhancing the concepts of prevention and public health, which reflected positively on the quality of life of citizens.
This progress is an essential pillar for achieving comprehensivesustainable development, as health is closely linked to productivity, economic growth, and societal stability. By investing in people, expanding partnerships, and employing modern technology, the state is moving towards establishing a flexible and sustainable health system that supports the goals of Egypt’s Vision 2030.
Al-Sabki delivers the opening speech at the SOS International event
In this spirit, Dr. Ahmed Al-Sabki, Chairman of the Healthcare Authority, participated in the International SOS event entitled: “The Missing Link: Unifying Workforce Health, Well-Being, and Security,” which was organized by the organization with the participation of an elite group of international experts and specialists in the fields of health, institutional well-being, security, and risk management.
At the beginning of his speech, El-Sobky welcomed Egypt’s guests from International SOS, who are: Dr. Dirk Bozemann, Director General of the Africa and Middle East Region, Dr. Nasa Ihi, Medical Director of the Middle East Region, and Dr. Isabelle Hagner, Global Director of Health for the Middle East Region, appreciating their participation, and stressing the authority’s pride in the extended strategic partnership with the organization.
He also reviewed, during his opening speech at the event, the vision and strategy of the General Authority for Healthcare 2032, explaining that the concept of health today has become more comprehensive, as it also includes workplaces, education, and living, noting that healthy work environments represent effective platforms for promoting healthy behaviors, protecting the workforce, and supporting their families and the communities surrounding them.

Achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through effective partnerships and institutional integration
The Chairman of the Authority stressed that these efforts contribute directly to achieving a number of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), most notably: the third goal: good health and well-being, and the eighth goal: decent work and economic growth, in addition to the tenth goal: reducing inequalities, as well as the seventeenth goal: establishing partnerships to achieve the goals, stressing that integration between the government sector, the private sector and international organizations is the path to achieving real and sustainable human development.
Dr. Ahmed Al-Sabki stressed that the comprehensive health insurance project represents the national framework guaranteeing the availability of health care services in a fair and comprehensive manner for all citizens, pointing to the completion of the first phase of the comprehensive health insurance system, and the second phase of the system will be expanded, which enhances comprehensive health coverage.
He also stressed the necessity of digital transformation through the optimal use of technology and the use of artificial intelligence, promoting digital health, telemedicine, and virtual care via phone and the Internet, and developing the concept of public health for citizens, ensuring the sustainability of health care services.
Cooperation protocol with International SOS
He explained that the General Health Care Authority had signed in 2023 a cooperation protocol with the International SOS organization, on the sidelines of one of the major Arab health conferences and exhibitions, to develop medical tourism, provide global health services to international patients within the Authority’s facilities, and benefit from international expertise in applying the highest standards, which contributes to strengthening the international accreditation of the Egyptian health facilities affiliated with the Authority and attracting expatriates for treatment.
The Chairman of the Authority stressed that this partnership represents a successful model of international cooperation, and contributes to enhancing the growth of the Health Care Authority’s program for medical tourism, “We Take Care of You in Egypt,” and consolidating Egypt’s position as a leading regional and global destination in providing integrated and safe health services.
Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky concluded his speech by emphasizing that coordination between various sectors is an essential foundation for transforming workforce health into a national priority that protects individuals, strengthens societies, promotes economic growth, and contributes to achieving the goals of Egypt’s Vision 2030 and building a more flexible and sustainable health future.
In conclusion, the efforts of the General Authority for Health Care represent an integrated vision that focuses on the human being and makes him a fundamental focus of development, as it goes beyond traditional therapeutic services to include prevention, work environments, and society. Digital strategies and modern technologies, from artificial intelligence to telemedicine, are also evident in building a flexible and comprehensive health system that works to improve the quality of life, increase productivity, and enhance economic growth, so that health becomes an effective tool to support comprehensive sustainable development and Egypt’s Vision 2030.

The Earth Guards Foundationconfirms that these efforts contribute significantly to achieving the third goal of sustainable development: good health and well-being. It also highlights the effective partnerships between the government and private sectors and international organizations in enhancing institutional integration and achieving the seventeenth goal: establishing partnerships to achieve goals, which confirms the importance of cooperation to achieve real and sustainable human development.
