National and humanitarian presence in the Senate elections

Dr. Maya Morsi witnessed the signing of two cooperation protocols that represent a qualitative leap towards achieving financial inclusion and promoting technological education.

The first protocol was with the Bank of Egypt, with the aim of supporting and empowering the most needy families and “Solidarity and Dignity” families economically, by digitizing the financial transactions of beneficiaries of the Rural Industries Support Fund andEnvironmental financing. The Minister explained that the Fund represents one of the basic arms to enable families to escape the cycle of poverty, noting that the “Solidarity and Dignity” program benefited 7.7 million families over ten years.

SEC Protocol

As for the second protocol, it came in cooperation with the Supreme Council for Technological Education, and aims to establish 12 new social solidarity units within 12 technological universities. This strategic cooperation contributes effectively to achieving Egypt’s vision for sustainable development 2030, especially with regard to the two axes of social justice and human building.

These units aim to provide an integrated package of social services to students, and work to create integration between the ministry and universities, relying on basic principles, such as the human right to development, cooperation and integration between the various sectors of the state, which ensures that support is directed to those who deserve it, and achieves the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

“Start” is a platform for preparing young people for the labor market

As part of her continued support for youth, Dr. Maya Morsi witnessed the conclusion of the “START” summit activities organized by the Ministry on the occasion of the conclusion of the activities of social solidarity units in universities for the academic year 2024-2025. This summit is a vital platform aimed at qualifying young people for the labor market and developing their skills, and it witnessed an intense presence of university students and coordinators of social solidarity units.

The Minister thanked the Ministers of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Youth and Sports, the Red Crescent Foundation, and university youth for their participation and support, stressing the importance of training in determining the future of youth and creating unique leadership, and linking this directly to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

In response to the great demand for training and qualification, Dr. Maya Morsi announced that the “START” Summit will be organized twice a year in Cairo, in addition to being present in various universities. Which expands the scope of benefit from its programs. The Minister indicated that more than 16 thousand young men and women want to receive training, and that the Ministry is working to support them until graduation, and to communicate with investors and companies to implement various projects, which confirms the Ministry’s commitment to its responsibility towards building a generation capable of effectively contributing to building Egypt’s future and achieving sustainable development.

Within the framework of enhancing the efficiency of the social solidarity system, Dr. Maya Morsi, Minister of Social Solidarity, approved the movement to appoint directors and deputies of the social solidarity directorates in the governorates of the Republic for the year 2025. This step comes within the framework of the Ministry’s strategic vision to develop institutional performance and enhance work efficiency within the various sectors.

The Minister expressed her thanks and appreciation to all previous leaders for their sincere efforts during the past period, which yielded distinguished results that contributed to community service, wishing at the same time success for the new leaders in their various positions, and for them to perform their duties with high efficiency in order to complement the process of development work adopted by the Ministry.

These multidimensional movements demonstrate that the Ministry of Social Solidarity, led by Dr. Maya Morsi, is continuing to establish a renewed institutional model for social protection that balances humanitarian response, economic empowerment, and improving the quality of services.
