The Egyptian General Authority for Standardization and Quality – which I am honored to chair – is the accredited national reference and the only official body in Egypt, entrusted with carrying out all the activities of preparing and issuing Egyptian standard specifications, as well as its various activities in the field of quality assurance and conformity assessment of products, tests, industrial calibrations and training; With the aim of raising the quality of Egyptian products so that they are able to compete in international and local markets, as well as protecting the consumer and the environment. The Authority also represents Egypt – internationally and regionally – in the fields of standards and quality, as a member of the Board of Directors in all international and regional standardization organizations, such as the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) – the African Organization for Standardization (ARSO) – the Arab Organization for Standardization – the Islamic Standards Institute – the Assembly of Heads of Standardization Bodies in Countries BRICS.
Hence, the vision was for the Egyptian General Authority for Standardization and Quality to become the best in providing services for standards activities, conformity assessment and training in Egypt, the Middle East and Africa. In view of the paramount importance of training on the principles of quality management systems; To contribute to spreading awareness of quality at the individual and community levels, improving the quality of products and services, increasing customer satisfaction, reducing errors and waste, enhancing efficiency and productivity, developing work skills, and promoting sustainable development of society and economic competitiveness at the local, regional and global levels – training has become the most important strategic axes, aimed at enhancing awareness, spreading a culture of quality, and promoting industrial development. Accordingly, we have established the Standards and Quality Training Center, which holds the international ISO 21001 certificate for the management system of educational institutions.
In order to achieve the goals of “Egypt Vision 2030” – the most important of which is attention to the quality of life of the Egyptian citizen – the training center spreads awareness of quality by holding training courses in various sectors (engineering – chemical – textile – food – industrial standards), as well as many courses on activities to reduce emissions, sustainable development and environmental protection.
The center is also distinguished by holding training courses that include the practical aspect of On Job Training (OJT) in all sectors, using the capabilities of the authority’s existing laboratories. These courses are witnessing great demand from all sectors, especially students. Because it includes the practical and theoretical aspects and linking them, which is considered distinguished preparation for the labor market, linking academic education with various industry requirements, and building youth cadres at various stages of education.
At the hands of a group of distinguished experts, at the local and international levels in various training fields, the matter is done in a specialized manner according to the needs of companies and factories, as well as the labor market. This ends with the trainee being granted a training certificate with the emblem of the Republic, which can be documented at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
We also succeeded during the current fiscal year in implementing approximately 550 training programs, for 6,000 trainees from all sectors, whether from within the armed forces system, or the industrial and service sectors and graduates.

Training on various quality systems is an essential element in building qualified generations capable of developing their performance, and it is one of the main pillars of continuous improvement and enhancing the quality of work.
